I have been acquainted with Joe during the past three-year period. I first became acquainted with Joe when I hired him to create the web site for my restaurant. In a short period of time I was so impressed with his work, his creativity and dedication, it led me to ask him to design and manage all the advertising, promotions, and the restaurant menus as well. I have grown to know him personally ever since that time as a true friend, to the extent, I heavily rely on him to be my consigliere for keeping me in touch with this “younger” changing world.

I have been in a position to observe his personal reaction in both relaxed and stressful situations in the restaurant. He was so impressive in the manner in which he handled himself and situations, I can honestly say, I have always been proud of his attitude and how he has conducted himself.

In his personal life, I have found Joe to adhere to principals of right living, as well as in his professional relationships. I find him to be a warm, understanding, and congruent person. He knows his own mind, yet is not obstinate. If he thinks something is right, even though unpopular, he will do the correct thing.

It is a pleasure for me to recommend Joe Gonzalez-Reinhart for employment in your organization. Mr. Reinhart recently graduated from our university with a master’s degree in Digital Media Studies. He was one of those exceptional students who is both creatively and analytically inclined.

I was fortunate to have had him in my Digital Media Law and Ethics course. Students in the course were required to write weekly expository papers on current legal issues related to digital media. Mr. Reinhart’s papers reflected a high level of critical thinking as well as strong writing ability. He easily mastered the subject matter in the class and earned an A on all of his exams. On the rare occasion that I made suggestions for revisions in his work he accepted constructive criticism graciously, indicating to me that he would be easy to mentor in a professional environment. He also exhibited impressive interpersonal skills in class by contributing to class discussions enthusiastically, but never overshadowing his colleagues, and helping others in an organized study group.

As the chair of the Department of Communication and Studio Arts in which the Digital Media Studies Program is based, I have also had the opportunity to view Mr. Reinhart’s work in other classes and to hear other faculty members’ impressions of him. He is well respected among other professors in our program who’ve had him. Our professor in charge of 3D Modeling and Animation was particularly proud of his animated project, which reflected his interest in music.

I’m certain that Mr. Reinhart would be an asset to any organization that did communication or digital media work. This would be particularly true of a firm with a multi-cultural or international clientele since he also speaks Spanish and Portuguese.
